To participate in training and competition, all athletes are required to complete these forms and update them every 3 years.

The criteria for athlete advancement, along with the divisioning procedures, are considered two of the most critical elements of Special Olympics and serve to distinguish it from virtually every other sport organization in the world.
Advancing to a state, national or international level competition is an opportunity for our athletes to share and celebrate their achievements with people outside of their local communities.
Special Olympics Virginia is committed to providing resources and support to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 and promote the health and safety of the Special Olympics community. These resources can be shared with athletes, coaches, volunteers and families.
