The month of December started off with a day-filled with caring, and generosity,Giving Tuesday.
This year, Giving Tuesday was the first big fundraising opportunity for the Richmond and Northern Virginia chapters of the Young Professionals Board and they knocked it out of the park!
The Richmond Chapter took advantage of the power of social media, sharing their personal experiences, creating awareness about SOVA programs, and asking friends/family to support the cause. In just 24 hours this team was able to raise over $5,000! Kudos to our top fundraisers, Bryan Wilson, Alec Schleicher and Brittany Falabella.
The Northern Virginia Chapter used Giving Tuesday as a way to promote their 2021 Polar Plunge Team. NOVA YPBBBRRR!!! successfully created buzz about their team and the Polar Plunge leading to their current 6th place standing on the top fundraising team leaderboard.
