Sport Volunteer

Volunteers
Sport Volunteers range from coaches and assistant coaches to Unified partners who play on the same team as Special Olympics athletes. Sports officials and competition directors, who oversee event competition, also help us ensure the best play possible.

Become a Class A Volunteer or Unified Partner

Whether you want to volunteer from the sidelines or get in the game, we've got you covered!

Become a Coach

Some Special Olympics coaches have coaching experience; some don’t. Some have experience with individuals with intellectual disabilities; some don’t. A coach can be a teacher, family member, or someone simply charged up to change others’ lives and their own!

Become an Official or Competition Director

We need volunteers who are qualified to officiate sporting events to help at our competitions. All sports in Special Olympics require judges or officials for fair and equal competition.
