Everyone's Favorite: Texas Roadhouse Tip-A-Cop is back for 2026!

Get ready to enjoy a night out that gives back in a big way! Special Olympics Virginia is excited to partner with Texas Roadhouse and the Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR) for this year's Tip-A-Cop Campaign. This community favorite event combines amazing food, friendly service, athletes and members of law enforcement for a night of fun for a great cause!

On select May nights, LETR officers will step out of their usual roles and onto the restaurant floor, volunteering alongside the Texas Roadhouse team. From delivering meals to greeting guests, these officers are there for one purpose: to support Special Olympics Virginia athletes.

While you dine, you’ll have the opportunity to leave a “tip," not for your service, but as a donation that helps fund year-round sports training, competitions, and life-changing programs for individuals with intellectual disabilities. Last year's campaign raised more than $12,000 to support these athletes.

This year, we’re building on that momentum to make an even greater impact.

“Tip-A-Cop is one of the most rewarding ways we get to connect with our community,” said Detective Lakisha Davis, Chesterfield County Sheriff's Office. “It’s about more than serving a meal, it's about sharing the mission of Special Olympics and helping create opportunities for athletes to succeed both on and off the field.”

“At Texas Roadhouse, giving back is part of who we are,” said Kristie Lancto, Local Store Marketer. “Partnering with Special Olympics Virginia and the Law Enforcement Torch Run allows us to bring our communities together for a night that’s fun and truly makes a difference.”

So mark your calendars, invite your friends and family, and head to your local Texas Roadhouse to be part of something more than the famous roles! Every tip helps empower athletes to build confidence, experience the joy of competition and demonstrate their value to the community!
