Matt heads to Minnesota this June to lead the Virginia pickleball team. On top of coaching, Matt has also served as a Unified Partner and Council Member. He has been involved in Special Olympics Virginia for 18 years and has coached softball, basketball, volleyball, bowling, and flag football. He has participated in other Special Olympics events as well, including the Torch Run and Plane Pull. His love for Special Olympics inspired his daughter, Brianna, to get involved as a volunteer, which makes him very proud. Through his involvement, he has gained a deeper understanding of athletes, partners, and the important role everyone plays together.
