In January, Special Olympics Virginia staff and athletes enjoyed “Poppin’ into Publix” to show our appreciation during their annual campaign in support of the athletes and programs of Special Olympics. Here in Virginia, all 19 Publix stores participated over the course of two weeks, and they raised a grand total of $69,895.49!
A special shout out to the Publix Super Market at Virginia Center Marketplace team, who raised $9,100.24, the highest total for an individual store in Virginia (for the second year in a row)! Thank you so much, Publix, for continuing to "Light the Torch" for our program, and consistently showing up and supporting your community.
