Jersey Mike’s Day of Giving Shows Up Across Virginia

Busy stores, real moments, and a community that backed it all. Final totals are on the way, and you can still support by visiting Jersey Mike's Subs and donating through the end of the month.

There’s a tendency to measure success by a final number. How much was raised. How many subs were sold. That’s part of it, but it’s not the full story.

Jersey Mike’s Day of Giving was a strong day across Virginia. Stores were busy from open to close, lines stayed steady, and teams kept things moving all day. The result was a major fundraising win for Special Olympics Virginia, but what stood out just as much was what was happening inside each store.

Athletes weren’t just stopping by, they were part of the day. In Newport News, Isaac Lucky walked in to see the entire staff wearing shirts made for him. At another location, Travis Hunter spent time with the team and was offered a job before he left. Nathon Horton stepped behind the counter and jumped in alongside staff during the lunch rush.

Across the state, that same pattern showed up. Staff greeting athletes by name. Conversations that went beyond quick transactions. Stores that felt more like shared spaces than just a place to grab lunch.

We’re proud of how our entire community showed up. Parents, law enforcement, athletes, sponsors. People didn’t just visit, they shared the message and helped carry it throughout the day.

The numbers will always matter, and this year delivered. We’ll be sharing the final total soon. In the meantime, you can still support by visiting Jersey Mike's Subs and donating in-store through the end of the month.
