Procter & Gamble + Special Olympics Partner to Build More Inclusive Communities

For 42 years, Procter & Gamble and their brands have joined forces with Special Olympics to build more inclusive communities, and this January was no different.

All month long at two Virginia commissaries – Fort Belvoir in Fairfax and Fort Lee in Petersburg – purchases of participating products like Tide, Charmin and Pampers benefited Special Olympics programs across the country. In Virginia, we are grateful for the continued partnership, and the $18,000 donation to support our return to play efforts this spring and summer.

“Every day, we work to ensure that people with intellectual disabilities are recognized, included and valued as members of our community,” said Rick Jeffrey, president of Special Olympics Virginia. “We are grateful to P&G for supporting this important work to improve positive attitudes and for helping us to raise awareness of the strength and determination that Special Olympics athletes bring to society.”

Since 1980, Procter & Gamble has donated more than $41 million to Special Olympics.
