Keeping the "Flame of Hope" burning bright.

Each year, thousands of members of Law Enforcement carry the "Flame of Hope" 1,900 miles across Virginia leading up to the Special Olympics Virginia Summer Games. With the pandemic causing Law Enforcement unique day to day challenges and the cancellation of Summer Games, Special Olympics Virginia has announced a Virtual Torch Run. What is a Virtual Torch Run?

We're asking our community to help us cover 1,900 miles by running, biking, or walking and tracking their miles between June 8th - June 12th. Participants can do this anywhere at anytime of the course of the week of June 8th. Then on June 13, we'll be celebrating with a final mile and celebratory dance.

Whether participants walk a mile or run 26.2, every participation will provide help people of all abilities uncompromising inclusion— in school, employment, healthcare, social activities, and sports.
