Conner's World, a 15-minute documentary from Special Olympics Virginia, screens April 23 at the Ashland Theatre in Ashland, Virginia. We're sorry to miss you — the event reached capacity faster than we expected, and we know that's disappointing for a lot of people who wanted to be there. The good news is the film will be available to the public on April 24, the day after the premiere.
Conner is a 2025 Goochland High School graduate who competes in bocce, bowling, track and field, basketball, and golf. He's navigated multiple brain surgeries and a spinal fusion to get here. He's also one of the GameChang3rs, a group of athletes whose work in their communities has shaped how Special Olympics Virginia tells its own story.
The film follows his preparation for USA Games. Here's how the evening is scheduled:
- 6:00 PM — Doors open
- 6:30 PM — Premiere screening followed by Q&A with Conner and the GameChang3rs
- 7:30 PM — Event concludes
If you already have your RSVP, watch your inbox — details about the evening are on the way.
