The 27th Annual Dulles Day Plane Pull was a tremendous success bringing thousands out to the tarmac at Dulles International Airport More than 60 teams raised funds and tested their strength and attempted to pull an 82-ton FedEx Airbus A320 or a Boeing 757 for 12 feet.
While the competition this year was tight, The Chesapeake Sheriff’s Office defended last year’s title with a time of 4.95 seconds. It was their 12 victory overall. The Fairfax County and Prince William County Sheriff’s offices tied for second at 4.96 seconds. However, it was the Special Olympics Virginia athletes that came out on top as the big winners having $415,000 raised to support them.
