Why is it important to build a more Unified Generation?
"Without these close relations with our friends with special needs, they lack community. After high school, there are fewer opportunities for Special Olympics athletes to make friends and have community. The relationships we build with our friend with disabilities are lasting and will allow for more happiness in their lives. Having a community for them sets them up for lifelong friendships.”
