How long have you been with Special Olympics?
I have been a staff member with Special Olympics Virginia for 20 years.
What are you most proud of?
I am most proud of having the ability to introduce Special Olympics to my family and they love our movement just as much as I do. My children know the value that athletes bring to the world and are better leaders in the community by being involved with our program at a young age.
Who do you admire the most?
I admire my mom as my role model and mentor. She has not let life adversities stop her from being a great mentor and parent for me and my sister.
How are you preparing for the USA Games? I am looking forward to working with our delegation to get them ready for the games. It's going to be inspiring to see athletes succeed throughout the entire trip including their rhythm at the start of each day to watching them compete and making friends.
