Special Olympics Virginia coaches, volunteers, and program leaders are invited to take part in the 2026 Coaches Clinics on Saturday, August 8, at Western Albemarle High School in Crozet, Virginia.
Hosted from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., the Coaches Clinics are designed to provide practical tools, hands-on learning, and real-world strategies coaches can immediately bring back to their local programs.
“This year’s Coaches Clinics will give both new and experienced coaches the opportunity to learn from one another, connect with SOVA staff, and strengthen the quality of sports programming across Virginia,” said event organizer Tyler Martin.
Sessions will cover topics including implementing fitness into practices, navigating the Coach Portal, handling challenges in coaching, and team evaluation and divisioning.
“The day will combine practical breakout discussions with hands-on sport training in pickleball and track & field led by experienced clinicians,” Martin said.
