About the 2025 Fall Championships

Special Olympics Virginia's Fall Championships is one of the largest annual competitions for Special Olympics athletes in Virginia.

This year's event will take place in Virginia Beach from November 8-9, 2025. The 2-day event will feature more than 1,200 athletes from across Virginia competing in a variety of sports such as soccer, golf, bocce and more.

First Tee of Hampton Roads: Buzz Stop coffee available both days during competition hours.

Athlete Spaces

  • Athlete Arcade at VBSC, second floor. New this year. Open both days.
  • Fine Designs and SOVA merchandise for sale at VBSC all weekend.

Opening Ceremony

  • Saturday night at the Virginia Beach Sports Center!
  • Area 9 athlete Franklin Lawson and Channel 13 News Now Anchor Leila Cox will host! Plus guest speakers and a USA Games presentation.
  • After the ceremony:
    • Bingo
