Sam is a Special Olympics Virginia athlete from Crozier who competes in Track & Field and Unified Bowling. A student at Goochland High School, a Unified Champion School, Sam has been involved with Special Olympics for about a year and says it’s helped him become more humble and encouraging.He’s an Eagle Scout, a commanding officer in his school’s MCJROTC program, and a multi-sport athlete with varsity experience in football, baseball, and track. Outside of school, Sam is active in YoungLife and FCA ministries and is also a published joke writer. To prepare for the 2026 Special Olympics USA Games, he trains regularly through track and strength workouts and looks forward to representing Virginia and building lasting friendships with fellow athletes.
