Paul competes in bocce and has been involved in Special Olympics for more than 30 years, starting in 1991. He also has competed in track & field, basketball, and soccer. In 2021, Paul overcame a serious leg fracture, working through five surgeries and rehab to return to competition, something he is very proud of. He stays active in his community by attending classes at his local recreation center. Paul is known for his strong memory, especially when it comes to sports history. He is preparing for his first USA Games by training with his local and state bocce teams and practicing on his own. He is retired after a 37-year career with Eggleston Services and enjoys staying active and connected through the Special Olympics, where he has become more fit and made many friends.
