Michael is a Special Olympics Virginia golf athlete from McLean who has been involved with Special Olympics for 8 years. During that time, he has competed in golf and participated in the state-level Fall Championships in Virginia Beach five times. He has earned multiple medals, including a bronze medal and two gold medals in Level 1 golf, as well as a gold medal in Level 2. Michael takes pride in doing his best and making others happy, and he works hard to overcome challenges with communication. Through the Special Olympics, he has made many friends and enjoys playing golf with them. He is excited to represent Virginia at the 2026 USA Games in Minnesota and is preparing by practicing golf as often as he can. Michael works as a utility worker at the Southside Cafe inside INOVA Fairfax Hospital. When he’s not at work or on the golf course, he enjoys traveling, playing pool, and spending time with his family.
