Melinda has been a Special Olympics Virginia athlete for 9 years, participating in bowling, basketball, softball, and her local walking club. The Special Olympics has allowed her to make friends and connect with others. Her biggest challenge has been joining different teams, and her greatest pride comes from the friendships she has built and the joy of playing sports.
