Mariela joined the Special Olympics team in September 2023 as the Digital and Visual Communications Manager. Through her role, she helps bring athlete stories to life through design, photography, video, and digital storytelling. Mariela values the sense of belonging and inclusion that Special Olympics creates and finds great fulfillment in connecting with athletes, families, and communities while sharing their stories in meaningful and creative ways. She is proud to be part of a community where the power of inclusion and sport brings people together to help create a more accepting and inclusive world.
