Dennis Habel has been a Special Olympics athlete for 21 years, competing in softball, basketball, and volleyball. Meeting new people was once a challenge for him, but through Special Olympics, he’s built friendships and confidence that have made a big difference in his life. For more than 15 years, Dennis has also helped his local Area Team raise funds to support programs in his community. A fun fact about Dennis is that he uses the baseball skills he’s learned to help teach his two nephews and niece how to play.
