Charles has been a Special Olympics Virginia athlete for about 25 years, competing in swimming, soccer, track and field, bowling, volleyball, and basketball. He represented Virginia as a long-distance swimmer at the 2014 USA Games and will compete again in volleyball at the 2026 USA Games.Outside of sports, he’s an Eagle Scout, a 3rd Degree Knight of Columbus, and has served as an altar server for 25 years. He also works at Lowe’s in Fredericksburg and once raised over $4,300 for Area 11 Special Olympics through his Aquaman Challenge fundraiser. In his free time, he enjoys karaoke, game shows, and finding fast-food deals on his dad’s phone.
