Richard Brian has been a proud Special Olympics Virginia athlete for more than 17 years. He participates in softball, basketball, soccer, and volleyball. Brian loves being part of a team and says that Special Olympics has given him the chance to play sports he wouldn’t have been able to otherwise. Over the years, Brian has won medals in the sports he plays and has been selected to travel with his team, even competing at Nationals in Pennsylvania. He’s proud to represent Virginia and is excited to attend the 2026 USA Games, where he looks forward to meeting new friends and competing at the highest level. Outside of Special Olympics, Brian enjoys playing flag football, helping out in his community, and spending time with his family. He admires his mom the most, saying she’s his number one supporter and always makes sure he gets to practices and games. In his free time, Brian loves to sing, dance,play any type of ball, and is actively pursuing new employment that fits his skills.
