Lesson 2 - Daina's Powerful Story
Daina Shilts was bullied, teased and excluded when she was in school. Through Special Olympics, she found her love of snowboarding and thus gained confidence in herself and her abilities. Here, we see her visiting a Unified Champion School in Wisconsin to see how much has improved in school settings since she was in school.

Lesson 3 - Rashaan's Moment
As Rashaan went through grade school, he figured out that his love of basketball would help him find common ground with other students after enduring many hardships including family loss and bullying. Going off to college at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, Rashaan joined Unified Sports Intramurals as a partner. Through building friendships on and off the court, Special Olympics Unified Sports® has become a defining part of Rashaan’s college experience.

Lesson 4 - Loretta Claiborne
When Loretta Claiborne was a young girl, she was isolated and worried about what her future would hold. As she got older, she became involved in Special Olympics and developed her skills through sport. Not only did she do that but also she gained the confidence to inspire the next generation of leaders through public speaking, which is what she does still today as the Chief Inspiration Officer of the Special Olympics movement.
