Ben, who’ll be aiming for strikes in June, has been involved with the Special Olympics for 24 years. In addition to bowling, Ben has participated in track & field, swimming, softball, basketball, skiing, bocce, and running and walking clubs. He also has served as a Global and Health Messenger, sharing his story and the importance of staying healthy with many others in the community. Special Olympics has become Ben’s second family; a family that has built up his self confidence and self esteem. What makes him the most proud is being able to live independently. Ben currently has a full-time job with benefits, and has learned to drive. He owns his own car and pays for all his personal finances.
