Ava has been involved with Special Olympics for one year. She competes in track, basketball, kickball, and bowling. Through Special Olympics, Ava has learned the importance of inclusivity, problem-solving, and patience. One of her biggest challenges has been overcoming communication barriers with fellow athletes, but she is proud of helping others succeed while building friendships and memories.Ava attends Goochland High School, a Unified Champion School, where she is active in MCJROTC leadership, Best Buddies, FCA, YoungLife, and her church community. She has earned scholastic, academic, and athletic achievement awards. Ava holds dual citizenship in the United States and Sweden. She participated in the 2025 Special Olympics National Bowling Tournament in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
