Name: Stoney Bryant
Hometown: Wayneboro
Age: 51-years old
Number of years in Special Olympics: 28
years
Special Olympics Sports: Stoney is a member of the half-court
basketball, volleyball and track and field teams. In the past,
he had also participated in roller-skating, alpine skiing, ice
skating and bowling.

Major Accomplishments: By participating in Special Olympics,
Stoney has become more independent. He has traveled to numerous
State Competitions in Virginia Beach, Richmond, Fredericksburg
and Wintergreen. He also participated in the Summer World Games
in Minnesota with his softball team
Interest: In his spare time, Stoney enjoys watching sports
on TV.
Job: Stoney works at Vector Industries, a sheltered
workshop in Waynesboro, Virginia
What has SOVA done for you?Special Olympics has given me
the opportunity to meet a lot of new friends. It has also taught
him how to respect and be more patient and considerate of other
people.
